HC Deb 12 July 1932 vol 268 c1112
60. Mr. C. BROWN

asked the Attorney-General if he is aware of the inconvenience caused to the inhabitants of the parish of Skegby, Notts, since the death of the last resident magistrate three years ago; and if he will recommend the making of a new appointment?

Captain AUSTIN HUDSON (Lord of the Treasury)

I have been asked to reply. The question of the need for the appointment of a resident magistrate in the parish of Skegby will be referred by my Noble Friend, the Lord Chancellor, to the Advisory Committee, for their consideration.

Mr. BROWN

Is the hon. and gallant Member aware that I put this question two years ago, and still nothing has been done? Will he stimulate the Notts Advisory Committee to act?

Captain HUDSON

I think the hon. Member will see that action is being taken.
