HC Deb 12 July 1932 vol 268 c1117
79. Mr. PICKERING

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he is aware that the widespread use of American currency in Bermuda has contributed to the raising of the price level to a height detrimental alike to British interests and British influence; and what he intends to do to give effect to the recommendation of the Empire Parliamentary Association Committee regarding this and other instances of the Americanisation of Bermuda?

Sir P. CUNLIFFE-LISTER

While I have read the Committee's Report with great interest, I have not yet had an opportunity of considering what, if any, action on my part is called for in regard to the wide range of subjects which it covers.
