HC Deb 11 July 1932 vol 268 cc879-80
30. Mr. JOHN

asked the Minister of Pensions what rent is paid for the offices in Sanctuary Buildings, Great Smith Street; what saving will be effected by the transfer of the statistics branch to Bromyard Avenue, Acton; and when it is proposed to transfer all the administration to Acton?

The MINISTER of PENSIONS (Major Tryon)

The question of the rent is a matter for my right hon. Friend the First Commissioner of Works. The saving effected by the transfer of the statistical section to Acton is small, as only five clerks were involved. It is not proposed to transfer the headquarters' administration to Acton.
