HC Deb 06 July 1932 vol 268 cc425-6
26. Mr. SIMMONDS

asked the Under-Secretary of State for Air the number of British aircraft that have been set on fire since 1918 by night landing flares carried on the aircraft; and the number of deaths resulting therefrom?

Sir P. SASSOON

There has been no recent fatal accident of this kind. My Noble Friend does not think that the labour of producing detailed statistics on the subject from 1918 onwards would be justified.
