§ Sir P. SASSOONAs regards the first part of the question, it is proposed to discontinue this route as from 1st October next. As regards the remainder of the question, I am not in a position to state to what extent, if any, it may prove impracticable to transfer existing equipment in Persia, but the capital cost of the transfer to the alternative routs is roughly estimated at £9,750.
