HC Deb 15 February 1932 vol 261 c1257
1. Colonel CROOKSHANK (for Captain ERSKINE-BOLST)

asked the Secretary of State for India the approximate cost per week of cabling to India, and receiving replies from India, in respect of questions on Indian matters asked by Members of this House?

Sir S. HOARE

Expenditure on telegrams arising directly out of Parliamentary questions varies very greatly from week to week, and art average figure over any period for which the details are available would be misleading. It is my constant endeavour to keep such expenses as low as is consistent with the discharge of my duties to the House.
