HC Deb 11 February 1932 vol 261 c1022
62. Brigadier-General CLIFTON BROWN

asked the Minister of Health who were the principal importers of liquid milk during the last three months who were registered by the port sanitary authorities of London, Harwich and Newhaven; and whether any of the liquid milk imports came in pasteurised?

Sir H. YOUNG

It is compulsory for importers of liquid milk to be registered with the local authority under the Public Health (Imported Milk) Regulations, and I do not think that I could properly give a list of the names of persons thus required to be registered. With regard to the last part of the question, there is reason to believe that most, if not all, of the imported milk in question is heat-treated before shipment.
