HC Deb 08 February 1932 vol 261 cc488-9
91. Lieut.-Colonel FREMANTLE

asked the Postmaster-General whether he proposes to revive the Post Office Whitley Council; and, if so, whether he will see that associations of Post Office servants who are not represented on the Council have equal facilities and opportunities for making representations to the Department on matters with which their interests are concerned?

Sir K. WOOD

I have arranged to reconstitute the Post Office Whitley Council, and arrangements will be made whereby no decisions will be reached by the Council which affect the interests of other recognised associations not represented on the Council without those associations being given full opportunities to represent their views to the Department.

Lieut.-Colonel FREMANTLE

Will those facilities be equal?

Sir K. WOOD

I hope they will be sufficient, but we shall have to see how it works out in practice.
