asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that 50 per cent. duty is charged on umbrella cloths imported into this country while the made-up umbrella is still allowed to enter the country duty free; that 4,487 dozen umbrellas were imported in November at the value of £6,436; and will he consider the advisability of extending the duty to complete umbrellas so as to help the manufacture of these in this country
