GILMOURThe Government have given very careful consideration to the question of supplying the fighting services with home-fed beef but it is not practicable at the present time, owing to the financial stringency, to adopt this proposal. With regard to flour milled from home-grown wheat the position is that national mark flour is already used wherever reasonably practicable.
§ Mr. EVERARDIs the right hon. Gentleman aware that this is a matter of very great importance to the whole trade of this country; and from the point of view of the balance of trade, is it not far better to keep this money in our own country?
