HC Deb 07 December 1932 vol 272 c1602
20. Captain CUNNINGHAM-REID

asked the Minister of Transport what experience he has gained from the experiment, now abandoned, of omitting the amber light from the traffic signal-lights in Oxford Street?

Mr. PYBUS

This experiment was made on the suggestion of the Departmental Committee on Traffic Signs, and the results will 'be dealt with in the general report of the committee in due course. The chairman has, however, informed me that the committee have reached the conclusion that the amber light should be retained.
