HC Deb 01 December 1932 vol 272 c963
15. Mr. DAGGAR

asked the Minister of Labour the number of men employed in connection with pit-head baths in Great Britain; and whether it is proposed, under the new Unemployment Insurance Bill to be introduced this Session, to include these men as contributors to the Insurance Fund?

Sir H. BETTERTON

I am informed that there are about 400 of these men. The Royal Commission on Unemployment Insurance have recommended that they should be brought within the scheme, and this recommendation is under consideration.
