HC Deb 01 December 1932 vol 272 cc974-5
32. Mr. MANDER

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education the anticipated economies as a result of the changes contemplated in Circular 1424; and to what extent these figures differ from the economies contemplated in Circular 1421?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of EDUCATION (Mr. Ramsbotham)

The provisions of Circular 1424 do not materially affect the rough estimate which I gave in an answer, on 18th October last, to the hon. Member for Caerphilly (Mr. Morgan Jones), as to the savings likely to result from the policy set out in Circular 1421.
