HC Deb 28 April 1932 vol 265 c551
3. Mr. T. WILLIAMS

asked the Minister of Labour when it is anticipated that the Report of the Royal Commission on Unemployment Insurance will be issued?

Mr. HUDSON

I am afraid I cannot name an exact date.

Mr. WILLIAMS

Can the hon. Gentleman give any idea when the Commission is likely to report?

Mr. HUDSON

I understand that the Commission is meeting quite often to consider the actual draft.

Mr. BUCHANAN

In view of the Press reports about the delay of the Commission in coming to a decision, is there no method of approach which the hon. Gentleman can make to ensure that they shall come to an early decision, seeing that matters are being held up?

Mr. HUDSON

As far as I know, there is no truth at all in that suggestion.
