HC Deb 28 April 1932 vol 265 c574
62. Captain ERSKINE-BOLST

asked the Financial Secretary to the War Office whether his attention has been called to the case at Aldershot of the unauthorised wearing of Army uniform; and whether, to avoid abuse of charity, he will instruct the Army authorities to take action on every such occasion which may be brought to their notice?

The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the WAR OFFICE (Mr. Duff Cooper)

I have seen Press reports of this case. Cases of infringement of the Uniforms Act, 1894, are dealt with by the police authorities, and any cases which are brought to the notice of the War Office will be reported to the appropriate civil authorities.
