asked the President of the Board of Trade if he has any information as to the number of farmers and smallholders in Lincolnshire who have had to give up owing to bankruptcy and failure to meet their obligations, together with the total acreage concerned?

The number of farmers and smallholders in the areas of the Great Grimsby, Lincoln and Boston Bankruptcy Courts who failed in 1931 under either the Bankruptcy Act or the Deeds of Arrangement Act was 77. No information is available as to the acreage concerned.
