Mr. POTTERasked the Minister of Transport whether, in order to improve transport facilities, he will take steps to arrange for the purchase by the Lanca- 37 shire County Council and other local authorities concerned of the Shard toll bridge and the early discontinuance of the tolls levied upon all persons using this bridge?
§ Mr. PYBUSIt is for the appropriate highway authority to initiate proposals of this kind which I would then carefully consider having due regard to the available resources of the Road Fund.
