HC Deb 25 April 1932 vol 265 c18
30. Mr. HAMILTON KERR

asked the Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department what steps he is taking in connection with the all-British exhibition at Copenhagen on 24th September to ensure the display of Lancashire products?

Mr. JOHN COLVILLE (Secretary, Overseas Trade Department)

I understand that the British Import Union of Copenhagen, the body responsible for the organisation of the British Industrial Exhibition in Copenhagen, has set aside one of the exhibition halls for an exhibit of British textiles, and that steps have already been taken by the Federation of British Industries, who are acting for the British Import Union in this country, to bring the matter to the attention of interested firms in Lancashire, as well as in other parts of the country. My Department is actively co-operating with the Danish-British Society of Copenhagen in the organisation of a British Industrial Art Exhibition, to be held simultaneously with the main exhibition. The exhibits will include a selection of the products of British textile industries.
