HC Deb 19 April 1932 vol 264 cc1387-8
23. Mr. LEONARD

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether, in view of the representations which have been made for a grant towards the construction of a pier or slip at Glenelg, Inverness-shire, and in view of the urgency of the matter for public safety in travelling and for the transport of cattle and sheep to and from markets, a grant will be made at an early date?

Sir A. SINCLAIR

The provision of a pier or jetty at Glenelg is a matter in the first instance for the consideration of the county council of Inverness-shire. Should that body apply for a grant-in-aid, the application would receive due consideration.
