The Chinese Government have informed His Majesty's representative that it is progressing satisfactorily, and that a report may be expected before the end of the month. -Sir Miles Lampson has pressed the Chinese Minister for Foreign Affairs to obtain this report at the earliest possible moment, and has made known his disappointment at such continued delay on the part of the Chinese authorities.
