HC Deb 26 November 1931 vol 260 c500
57. Mr. LUNN

asked the President of the Board of Education whether he has sanctioned any arrangements between a university and a local education authority for broadcasting lectures on special subjects to the secondary or elementary schools in any area?

Mr. RAMSBOTHAM

Arrangements for broadcasting lectures and talks to secondary and elementary schools throughout the country are made by the British Broadcasting Corporation on the recommendation of the Central Council for School Broadcasting, and do not require the sanction of the Board of Education.
