§ The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Mr. Eden)Two conventions were opened for signature at the recent meeting of the Assembly of the League of Nations, the Convention for the Regulation of Whaling, and the Convention to Improve the Means of Preventing War. The former convention has been signed on behalf of His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom, but my right hon. Friend is advised that legislation will be required before it can be ratified. The question whether His Majesty's Government in the United Kingdom should sign the latter convention is still under consideration.
