HC Deb 12 November 1931 vol 259 cc266-7
47. Mr. HAMMERSLEY

asked the Prime Minister whether, in view of the fact that the proposal to divide the two-seated constituencies has already been unanimously accepted by both Houses of Parliament, he will now introduce a short Bill to effect this aim?

The PRIME MINISTER

This is a matter which will receive consideration in due course.

Mr. HAMMERSLEY

Seeing that this division of two-Member constituencies was unanimously recommended by the All Party Conference, will the Prime Minister give it his careful consideration with a view to quick action?

The PRIME MINISTER

That is so, but this question cannot be regarded as very urgent.
