HC Deb 12 November 1931 vol 259 c252
27. Lieut.-Colonel HENEAGE

asked the Minister of Agriculture if, in view of the depression in arable agriculture and in order to avert the impending cut in wages in agriculture in North Lincolnshire, he will take steps at once to stop the dumping of foreign agricultural produce?

The MINISTER of AGRICULTURE (Sir John Gilmour)

I would refer my hon. and gallant Friend to the statement on the subject of dumping made by the Prime Minister on Tuesday last during the Debate on the King's Speech.

Lieut.-Colonel HENEAGE

In view of the widespread distress in arable areas in the Eastern counties, cannot the statement asked for be hurried? If I put a question down next week, can I have an answer?

Sir J. GILMOUR

If the hon. and gallant Gentleman puts down a question, I shall do my best to answer it.

Mr. T. GRIFFITHS

Where can we get what the Prime Minister said on Tuesday?

Sir J. GILMOUR

In the OFFICIAL REPORT.
