§ The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of TRANSPORT (Mr. Parkinson)In accordance with the answer which my right hon. Friend gave to a question by my hon. Friend on the 15th April, tenders for the pilot tunnel were invited on the 24th April, and are to be delivered on the 2nd June, after which my right hon. Friend hopes it will be possible to arrange for the work to be promptly begun. There has been no alteration in the terms of financial assists ance available from the Road Fund.
