§ 62. Mr. MANDERasked the UnderSecretary of State for Air if he will make arrangements to permit Members of this House to make flights in new types of aircraft constructed for the Royal Air Force from time to time?
§ The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for AIR (Mr. Montague)My Noble Friend regrets that training and other service exigencies preclude the making of any such general arrangement as the hon. Member suggests. A special enclosure is, of course, provided for Members of this House at the display, when an opportunity is afforded them of seeing new and experimental aircraft as well as typical units of the Royal Air Force.
