HC Deb 13 May 1931 vol 252 cc1162-3
2. Sir KINGSLEY WOOD

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he has now received any information from His Majesty's Ambassador in Moscow as to whether there has been any amendment or modification of the decrees in relation to religion?

Mr. DALTON

His Majesty's Ambassador at Moscow reports that there have been no recent amendments or modifications in the laws relating to religious communities in the Soviet Union, apart from that which my right hon. Friend communicated to the right hon. Gentleman on the 13th March.

Mr. CHARLES WILLIAMS

Can the hon. Gentleman say whether there is likely to be any change in this matter?

Mr. DALTON

That is a question for the future, as to which I make no prophecy.
