asked the President of the Board of Trade what foreign countries encouraged their agricultural exports by means of differential freight rates; and what is the nature of the traffic thus assisted?

Mr. GILLETT

The Board of Trade have no information as to differential shipping freights arranged by foreign Governments on agricultural exports, but, if the hon. and gallant Member has definite instances in mind and will let me have the details, I shall be prepared to make 6Uoh inquiries as are possible.
