HC Deb 05 May 1931 vol 252 c187
15. Mr. HORRABIN

asked the Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs whether the Government have come to a decision on the proposal that money grants should be made by the Government to tobacco growers in Swaziland; and whether grants are or will be paid to native growers?

Mr. THOMAS

Arrangements have been made for the formation of a tobacco co-operative society in Swaziland, which will make advances to tobacco growers (including native growers) in respect of the annual crop delivered by them to the society for disposal. Funds for these advances will be provided by a loan from the Administration.
