HC Deb 05 May 1931 vol 252 c194
22. Mr. CHRISTIE

asked the President of the Board of Trade the quantities of condensed whole milk and condensed skim milk and milk powder produced in this country in 1930; whether there has been any increase in production during the last five years; and what proportion in terms of liquid milk the production bears to the quantity of liquid milk consumed by the public?

Mr. W. GRAHAM

I have consulted the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries, but I regret that no information is available in his Department or, at present, in mine respecting the production in the United Kingdom of condensed milk and milk powder during the past five years. The Census of Production for the year 1930 will enable a comparison to be made with the production in 1924, but figures will not be available for some time.
