HC Deb 05 May 1931 vol 252 c193
31. Captain P. MACDONALD

asked the President of the Board of Trade in what specific instances he has been successful in securing reductions of foreign import duties on British manufactures?

Mr. W. GRAHAM

I would refer the hon. and gallant Member to the answer which I gave to the question by the hon. Member for Gravesend (Mr. Albery) on 17th March, of which I am sending him a copy.

Captain MACDONALD

I am aware of that reply, but is it not a fact that all the efforts of the right hon. Gentleman and his officials at Geneva have been a waste of time and money?
