§ Mr. CLYNESFigures to show all thefts other than housebreaking for this period are not available, but perhaps the following figures will give the information the hon. Member desires. The number of thefts in the streets of the Metropolitan Police District from the 28th February, 1930, to the 17th March, 1931, was 2,300. Of these 891 were thefts from private motor cars.
