HC Deb 16 March 1931 vol 249 c1653
31 and 32. Viscount ELMLEY

asked the Minister of Agriculture (1) if he has reached any decision as to altering the regulation regarding the importation of pulped fruit;

(2) whether he has reached any decision as to establishing a national mark for jam made from home-grown fruit?

The MINISTER of AGRICULTURE (Dr. Addison)

I would refer the Noble Lord to the reply which I gave on Thursday last to a question, by the hon. and gallant Member for Maldon (Lieut.-Colonel Ruggles-Brise), of which I am sending him a copy, and from which he will see that I favour the course referred to in his second question.

Mr. HURD

What hope has the right hon. Gentleman of bringing this about?

Dr. ADDISON

I think there is a good hope.
