HC Deb 12 March 1931 vol 249 c1371
75. Lieut.-Colonel Sir A. LAMBERT WARD

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he is pursuing a policy of arranging for the export of East Coast fish by the train ferry to Swiss and North Italian markets?

The MINISTER of AGRICULTURE (Dr. Addison)

I understand that a certain quantity of cured fish is already sent to Italy via the train ferry from Harwich. If any extension of this trade is contemplated by fish merchants I have no doubt that the railway company will provide the necessary facilities.
