HC Deb 12 March 1931 vol 249 cc1389-90
88. Sir A. LAMBERT WARD

asked the President of the Board of Trade the date upon which it is proposed that the Anglo-Hungarian clearing office will make a further distribution in respect of interest upon admitted claims in the terms of the announcement in the official circular issued from Cornwall House, dated 7th November, 1930?

Mr. SHINWELL

It is hoped that sufficient funds will become available to enable a further distribution to be made in respect of interest in the Hungarian Administration towards the end of the year.

Mr. KELLY

Is there any intention of closing down this clearing office?

Mr. SHINWELL

I cannot say.
