§ Miss BONDFIELDThe provision of shelters, apart from the usual waiting rooms at Employment Exchanges, does not at present form part of the building programme. I have made inquiry and find that such overcrowding as has occurred at Leyton has been due to claimants arriving before their scheduled times.
§ Mr. SORENSENIs the right hon. Lady aware that almost at any time of the week one can see numbers of the unemployed standing in the open air, exposed to rain and fog?
§ Miss BONDFIELDYes, but if those people got there at the scheduled time they would not have to stand about.
