HC Deb 29 June 1931 vol 254 c867
11. Major POLE

asked the Secretary of State for India whether, in view of the fact that the scheme for an Indian Sandhurst, under consideration by the special Sandhurst committee recently set up in India, is not designed to provide training of cadets for the commissioned ranks of the proposed Indian air force, the Government will consider an increase in the number of vacancies for Indian cadets at Cranwell?

Mr. BENN

I have seen Press reports to the effect stated, but I must await the final conclusions of the committee and of the Government of India.
