§ Mr. GILLETTNo doubt the hon. Member has in mind the reports of the Missions to Southern Africa and to the 352 Far East. These reports did not foreshadow any immediate expansion of United Kingdom trade in the markets concerned, and, as the hon. Member will appreciate, it is impracticable to expect any such immediate result. The recommendations contained in these reports are, however, being earnestly considered by industry in conjunction with the Department of Overseas Trade.
