HC Deb 04 June 1931 vol 253 c351
53. Sir GEORGE HAMILTON

asked the Secretary to the Overseas Trade Department what further steps he pro poses taking to draw the attention of the British Chamber of Commerce in Paris to the need for better organisation of British salesmanship abroad?

Mr. GILLETT (Secretary, Overseas Trade Department)

I have very recently had the pleasure of addressing this Chamber on the question of trade development, and they are thus fully informed of my views.

Sir G. HAMILTON

Was this merely a luncheon time repentance or do the Government really mean to help British salesmanship?
