HC Deb 22 July 1931 vol 255 c1490
60. Major MCKENZIE WOOD

(for Mr. SCOTT) asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether official recognition is to be given by the Department of Agriculture for Scotland to the Scottish delegation to Australia organised by the Victorian Scottish Union, starting in November next; and whether official delegates are to be sent with the party by the Department?

The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for SCOTLAND (Mr. Westwood)

The project to which the bon. Member refers has my right hon. Friend's full interest and cordial approval; but the Department of Agriculture for Scotland do not contemplate sending an official delegation with the party.

Major WOOD

Do the Government propose to do anything to co-operate in this movement?

Mr. WESTWOOD

I must require notice of that question.
