HC Deb 22 July 1931 vol 255 cc1482-3
46. Sir N. GRATTAN-DOYLE

asked the Prime Minister if he can now state whether the Government accept the findings of the Macmillan Report as to the international monetary and financial situation; and what steps they propose to take to assist in putting them into operation?

The SECRETARY of STATE for DOMINION AFFAIRS (Mr. J. H. Thomas)

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given by the Chancellor of the Exchequer on the 15th July in reply to questions by my hon. Friend the Member for Lincoln (Mr. R. A. Taylor).

Sir N. GRATTAN-DOYLE

Have there been any changes in the position since?

Mr. THOMAS

The hon. Member must be aware that every one has been occupied, and accordingly he cannot expect this matter to have been decided.

Sir N. GRATTAN-DOYLE

This is a very important matter.
