§ Mr. WILLIAM WHITELEYMy right hon. Friend has caused inquiries to be made into depredations by foxes in the Peacehaven district. My hon. Friend is no doubt aware that there has been established a joint standing committee of the National Poqltry Council and the Masters of Foxhounds Association to deal with claims for compensation in respect of losses sustained by poultry farmers through the depredations of foxes, and my right hon. Friend proposes to communicate with the joint committee upon the subject.
§ Mr. ALPASSIs it not a fact that it is very difficult to get claims for loss of poultry by foxes considered at all, and that, even if they are considered, the compensation that is given is altogether inadequate?
§ Mr. WHITELEYI can only say that, as stated in the last part of the answer, my right hon. Friend is getting in touch with the joint committee who have this matter in hand.
