§ 20. Captain P. MACDONALDasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs 585 the names of the chairmen and other members of the sub-committees appointed by the Anglo-Russian Debt Commission; and what the terms of reference of these committees are to be?
§ Mr. DALTONThe general scope of sub-committees A, B, C, and D, has already been stated in my right hon. Friend's reply to the hon. and gallant Member on the 14th of July, 1930. Since that date arrangements have been made for two additional sub-committees, E and F, which will deal chiefly with Governmental and private claims arising out of events subsequent to November, 1917. In both these sub-committees the Soviet claims are brought against the British Government. The British membership, therefore, as in the case of sub-committee D, will be purely of an official character. Sir F. Leith Ross will in each case act as Chairman of the British Delegation. The following are the nemes of the Chairmen and members of the British Delegation in sub-committees A, B and C, as now constituted:
- Sub-Committee A:
- Sir J. Dewrance (Chairman).
- Sir W. Max Muller.
- Mr. H. G. Trew.
- Mr. J. A. Clark.
- Sub-Committee B:
- Lord Goschen (Chairman).
- Mr. H. A. Trotter.
- Mr. G. S. Pawle.
- Sub-Committee C:
- Mr. C. T. Cramp (Chairman).
- Mr. H. G. Trew.
- Mr. G. Tyser.
- Mr. N. Buchanan.
