asked the Minister of Health whether any experiments have been, or are being, carried out in connection with the Spahlinger treatment of tuberculosis?

No such experiments have been or are being carried out by or in co-operation with my Department.

Mr. MANDER

Is the right hon. Gentleman aware that experiments in connection with this question are being carried on in Northern Ireland at the present time?

* For the years 1925 and 1929 the figures include all new cases coming to the notice of Medical Officers of Health, whether as a result of notification under the Public Health (Tuberculosis) Regulations or otherwise.
I am advised that there is no information available on which to base any reliable estimate of the numbers of these cases or deaths which were due to infection of bovine origin.
