HC Deb 22 January 1931 vol 247 c349
58. Sir PHILIP CUNLIFFE-LISTER

asked the Minister of Health whether, when considering the application of the Paddington Borough Council for sanction to borrow money for the purpose of acquiring land within the urban district of Hendon for cemetery purposes, he will give due weight to the effect which the granting of such application would have upon the Hendon town planning scheme and the precedent which might thereby be created?

Mr. GREENWOOD

The right hon. Member may rest assured that, before deciding this application, I will carefully weigh all relevant factors, including the effect of the proposed cemetery on the amenities and the development of the area, and the town planning proposals already adopted by the Hendon Council and submitted to me for approval.
