§ 31. Colonel HOWARD-BURYasked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies when the new commission that is to go out to Palestine will start; and who are to be the members of the commission?
§ Dr. SHIELSThe commission is already at work. It consists of Sir Samuel O'Donnell (Chairman) and Mr. H. Brittain of the Treasury.
§ Colonel HOWARD-BURYIs not the hon. Gentleman aware that Palestine has had a surfeit of commissions, which have already reported on all relevant subjects, and that there is no need for this commission, and can he see his way to stop it.
§ Dr. SHIELSI am dealing with this matter more fully to-morrow, and perhaps the hon. and gallant Gentleman will not mind my reserving my comments until them.
