HC Deb 18 February 1931 vol 248 cc1245-6
57. Mr. MATHERS

asked the Postmaster-General whether, in view of the satisfaction given by Post Office clerks appointed to the clerical class through competitive examinations, he will consider giving appointments to the 270 Post Office clerks who qualified at the 1926 competitive examination for entry into the clerical class but to whom posts were not allocated?

The ASSISTANT POSTMASTER-GENERAL (Mr. Viant)

Perhaps I may refer my hon. Friend to the reply given yesterday to the hon. Member for Crewe (Mr. Bowen).
