Mr. ALBERY

Yes, for all classes of training for which I can find work for the trainees.

Following is the answer:

The position at the various centres conducted by or on behalf of the Ministry of Labour is as follows:

have been put forward by the East Riding County Council during the last 18 months; how many have been approved and what is their total capital value; and how many are still under consideration by the Government Departments concerned?

Miss BONDFIELD

Seventeen schemes have been put forward by the East Riding County Council during the last 18 months. Of these 12 have been approved, the estimated cost of which is £120,668. Five schemes are still under consideration.

Lieut.-Commander KENWORTHY

Has my right hon. Friend seen a speech by Alderman Fenby, of the East Riding County Council, in which he says that out of 16 schemes sent up by the council only two have been approved after 18 months?

Miss BONDFIELD

He must have been misinformed.
