§ 33. Sir PHILIP RICHARDSONasked the Under-Secretary of State for the Colonies if in future he will consider publishing the annual report of the Native Affairs Department of Kenya in Kenya; and, if not, what is the reason for bringing this document over to this country for printing purposes?
§ Dr. SHIELSIt is not a new departure for the annual report of the Native Affairs Department of Kenya to be printed in this country. In view of the interest shown here in the affairs of Kenya, my Noble Friend considers it desirable that the widest possible publicity should be given to these informative reports. Arrangements are accordingly now made with the Stationery Office for this report to be printed and published here, and in this way the report is automatically brought to the notice of Members of Parliament. My Noble Friend sees no adequate grounds for revising this arrangement.
