Mr. DUNCAN MILLARasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether in view of the decision of this House on 21st January on Clause 2 of the Education (School Attendance) Bill, he proposes to proceed with the Education (Scotland) Bill, and to issue any order appointing the date for the raising of the school age in Scotland?
Mr. W. ADAMSONThe answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. As to the second part, my inten- 1621 tion is to proceed with the Order in due course, but I am not at present in a position to make any statement as to the precise date.
